Russian Mi family helicopters are known and respected all over the world. Military and civilian vehicles are produced at Mikhail Mil’s design bureau with one of the primary manufacturing centres located in Rostov-on-Don. There Rostvertol specialises in the production of military helicopters, nowadays focusing on modifications to the legendary Mil Mi-24 and the Mil Mi-35 helicopters as well as the Mil Mi-28 “Night Hunter” attack helicopters, designed to provide ground forces with support, accompany helicopters which transport troops and destroy aerial targets. Their main goal however is to destroy the enemy’s armoured vehicles.
