Lipetsk, a city in central Russia not far from Moscow was founded thanks to the vigor and wisdom of Peter the Great. He ordered metallurgical plants be built in the area, which is rich iron ore, and this transformed the small rural town into a large industrial city. Peter similarly discovered its mineral water springs, which have helped to bring Lipetsk recognition as a resort city. RTG TV host Olga Degtyaryova visited Lipetsk, wandered through its streets and tried the famous water from a Lipov well room.
