For several centuries it has repulsed numerous enemy attacks and has gained fame as one of the most impregnable fortresses of Russia. «Yadryona Matryona» pork cutlets with stuffed bell peppers recipe serves 2 persons; preparation time ~ 15 minutes; cooking time ~ 15 minutes Ingredients: 300 g. ground pork, 1 egg, garlic, salt, pepper, 2 bell peppers, 20 g. green peas, 50 g. rice, 1 tomato, 50 g. cheese, 20 g. flour. Directions: Combine the ground pork, egg, chopped garlic, salt and pepper in a bowl and mix everything together well. To make the stuffing for the cutlets, chop the peppers into small pieces and grate the cheese. Mix these ingredients with the peas and stuff the cutlets with the mixture. Next roll each cutlet in flour and cook it on both sides on the stove until half-cooked. To make the side dish, stuff the peppers with already-cooked rice, chopped tomato and cheese. Place both the cutlets and the stuffed peppers in the cooker to roast for 15 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius. «Pod ryumochku» salad (goes well with hard alcohol) recipe serves 2 persons; preparation time ~ 10 minutes; cooking time ~ 10 minutes Ingredients: Ingredients for the salad: 50 g. tongue, 50 g. cheese, 100 g. mushrooms, 10 g. lettuce, 1 red bell pepper, olives, fresh green herbs. Ingredients for the dressing: 1 tsp. horseradish, 1 tsp. spicy mustard, fresh green herbs. Directions: Boil the tongue and cut it into small pieces. Also cut the cheese into small pieces. Saute the mushrooms in oil for 10 minutes. Set the lettuce on a plate. Then, in the shape of a half circle, place a layer of the cheese, then a layer of the tongue, and finally the mushrooms on the dish. To make the spicy dressing, mix the horseradish, mustard and finely chopped greens together. Garnish the dish with red bell pepper, olives and fresh herbs. Drizzle the dressing on top and serve. «Mother-in-law’s dream» cottage cheese and fruit dessert recipe serves 2 persons; preparation time ~ 5 minutes; cooking time ~ 15 minutes Ingredients: 150 g. flour, 2 eggs, 200 ml. milk, 1 orange, 50 g. strawberries, 10 g. almonds, 100 g. cottage cheese, 10 g. prunes, 50 g. chocolate, fresh mint. Directions: Make pancakes using the flour, egg and milk. With the help of a glass, form two of the pancakes into little baskets and place them in the cooker to dry out a bit. Peel the orange and carefully remove the pulp from the skin. Combine the prunes, orange, strawberries, almonds and cottage cheese together in the blender until they have a uniform consistency. Pour the fruity cottage cheese mixture into the pancake baskets. Garnish them with melted chocolate and fresh mint before serving.
