Natural Wonders of Altay Region

Denisova Cave and waterfalls on the Shinok River are the most popular sightseeing of Altay region. They are located in Soloneshinsky region near theAnuy River. Denisova Cave also known as Au-Tash is called the encyclopedia of North Asia history. According to scientific research people lived there 300 thousand years ago. During excavations scientists found out that there are more than 20 culture layouts. The tourist itinerary starts from complex of Denisova Cape to the waterfalls on the Shinok River. There are 9 waterfalls. The road to them runs through stone Shinok riverbed. The river water is of brown colour, but according to research it's pure and drinkable. And its chemical composition is similar to that of mineral resources. Presenter Igor Maximenko got over the way of 26 kilometers, watched waterfalls «Rassypnoy», «Yogi» and «Potaennyj» and waded the Shinok River 15 times!
