St. Petersburg’s artillery museum


One of the Europe's largest military-historical museums the Museum of Artillery, Engineers and Signal Corps is situated in the center of Saint-Petersburg on the Petrograd Side.

One of the Europe's largest military-historical museums the Museum of Artillery, Engineers and Signal Corps is situated in the center of Saint-Petersburg on the Petrograd Side. The museum collection numbers near a million of exhibits. Among them there are more than 1200 artillery guns, the world's largest collection of light arms and cold weapons, rocket weapons, engineer equipment, means of military communication, battle colors, military uniform and musical instruments, as well as masterpieces of battle painting, orders and decorations. The museum itself is located in the unique monument of the fortification architecture of the 19th century the Kronwerk of the Peter and Paul Fortress established by Nicholas I in the year 1860. Together with the presenter Igor Maximenko viewers will go on enchanting excursion around halls of the Museum of Artillery.
