Ruski Bereg, an agritourism complex located 70 kilometers from Ulyanovsk, is both a large farm and an excellent place to relax. The history of this place is quite fascinating. Almost 1,700 years ago Imenkovsky tribes lived on this territory. The majority of scholars consider them to be early Slavs – in other words, ancient ancestors of the Slavs. Excavations have revealed that the ancient inhabitants of this area were skilled farmers, herders and fishers. Hundreds of years ago people’s lunch here consisted of only what they themselves grew and caught on the banks of the Volga.
