Goryachy Klyuch is a city-resort in Krasnodar Krai. It has very comfortable location – it takes an hour to get from Krasnodar airport and some 65 kilometers to the Black Sea coast. The main city curiosity is the Medicinal Park. There are things that attract people from all Russia. They are a mineral source and numerous sanatoriums. Goryachy Klyuch became a resort-place in the year 1864. But the medicinal properties of local resources had been known in ancient times. As early as two thousand years ago highlanders cut out of a mountain or dug in soil the first baths. In the historical chronicles it's pointed out that the sufferings spent a lot of time in these bathing huts to a frazzle. Then they came around and repeated a procedure. There was a huge number of improvised baths in the Mineral glade. The medicinal herbs come out there. At present there's the only one monument to mineral water in Russia. Another curiosity is the Dante gorge. Stone steps were cut out by the Cossacks in the 19th century. Walls of sandstone became some kind of national craft gallery. A portrait of Dante, unknown Roman legionary and many others are carved there. Pictures as a remembrance of several generations of holiday-makers and healed local residents. On the entrance to the Dante gorge there's Iverskaya chapel. They called for help Mother of God icon and took with them sacred water.
