The State Museum of the History of Religion opened in St. Petersburg more than 80 years ago. One of its exhibitions is dedicated to the religions of the ancient civilisations of Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece and Rome. The histories of these ancient peoples - including their cultures, art, customs and beliefs – have long fascinated and intrigued historians. The State Museum of Religious History gives visitors the chance to travel back in time and uncover some of the secrets that have been buried by the sands of time. RTG TV host Vladimir Kolganov got to learn about the different customs, cultures and traditions of these ancient peoples. He also got to see some very unique artifacts such as an ancient brick recovered from the ruins of the Tower of Babel that bears the seal of King Nebuchadnezzar.
