And at the end gastronomic etude is completed by “khrenovukha”**, a real Russian invention that serves better with salo and pickles. *Salo is a traditional Ukrainian food: cured slabs of fatback (rarely pork belly), with or without skin. ** Khrenovukha is a type of strong alcoholic vodka that has a bitter taste, being made from root horseradish, often with different spices, such as pepper peas and garlic.
